I have received negative reviews before. That doesn’t really bother me. But I find myself frustrated because for the first time I don’t know why the reviewer didn’t like the play (other than evidently disliking a bare, simple set). I don’t know what Mr. Weaver means by “fails to fully articulate the action” even means. I write reviews myself and this honestly would not help me even make up my mind as a theatre-goer, nor does it give enough feedback for me to figure out where Mr. Weaver finds the “lack of focus.” I invite him to send me an email articulating more precisely what he felt did not work.
