If you can imagine a trash talking, trailer-park, Alabama gal who loves selling Tupperware, but who is really a man in drag, you’ll have a good idea of the hilarious proceedings of this unusual solo show.

Meet Dixie Longate (Kris Andersson), “America’s favorite Tupperware Lady,” who’s all mouth and mega-attitude, and gifted with a master auctioneer’s verbal handiness. Looking and acting like a transplant from one of Del Shores trailerpark-trash comedies, she takes the audience into the world of Tupperware, including some diverting history about the product. Her wares (a startling effusion of color and shapes) are stacked on a table center stage, flanked by two comfy couches where sit “favored” customers — always in easy range of a salacious barb or product demonstration (the finale is suggestively called a “Rimming Race”).

Dixie knows how to work the crowd, and she’s never short of uproarious homespun tales, anecdotes and jokes. But this drag show/comedy is, after all, a Tupperware party, with product demonstrations, spirited sales pitches, and even a few musical ditties that are sure to raise your Tupper enthusiasm to boiling. For the lucky few, there are also raffles affording everyone a chance to win their very own Tupper prize. Patrick Richwood directs.
