I don’t agree. I saw this play 3 nights in a row and loved it.
Too bad you have never experienced how deep family secrets and denial can go.
Get educated about drug abuse, keeping things secret, and about sweeping the truth under the rug before you are quick to decide how unlikely a story can be.
Funny that my comment challenging the critic Deborah Klugman to visit me in the desert never made it to be viewed here. I AM the REAL woman that Louise (Lily Knight), portrayed. A cufi cap WAS given to me, and I wore it, just as writer Tom Cavanaugh wrote. Sierra IS my niece and I challenge critics to come meet her, if you dare. Though there were liberty’s taken as Mr. Cavanaugh wrote the play and not exact details of my life, I assure you that your critique is wrong on more levels than I can count. I did not see the play sadly…I was released after 8 years in prison and it was no longer running. I AM A MUSIM WOMAN. Islam is not a color of skin or a hijab or cap, it is what I believe to be true about GOD. I AM white, wore a cufi cap and the play is about ME AND MY LIFE. Whether you believe it or not is YOUR issue. But as I said before, come on out to my neck of the woods and I will introduce you to a world you don’t believe in… certainty if it isn’t real YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR!!!!
