** sigh ** went to this play because of the subject matter, hoping for a respite from Ms Gunderson’s stiff-backed, overly polite, passionless characters from the “Ada” play. 15 minutes in to this one, I came to the sad realization that this is just another historical drama where all the characters act like they are in a documentary or a PBS special. Ms Gunderson needs to learn how to create real characters with raw edges and bite and stop giving them dialogue that sounds like it’s cribbed Wikipedia pages. No wonder her work has never seen the inside of a Broadway theater.
